Varna Airport

Varna Airport is the third largest airport in Bulgaria and a key destination during the summer leisure season. It is located 10 km from the center of the seaside capital Varna. The airport serves Varna, Golden Sands, and North East Bulgaria. There are domestic and international flights to around 116 destinations in 40 countries by more than 53 Bulgarian and foreign airlines. The busiest season for the airport is from the end of May to the beginning of October. The capacity of Varna Airport is over 2 million passengers per year.

Varna Airport serves the tourists that visit the East-North part of Bulgaria, including Cultural- historical cities and resorts as Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Tryavna, the ethnographic complex Etar and the ancient capitals of Bulgaria – Pliska, and Preslav.
